Your notifications
What Calemander tells you about your own bookings, by email and by text, and where to change it. Everything here is yours: each person in a workspace sets their own, and nobody else can change them. What your clients receive is set separately, under Emails and SMS.
Where to find it
Open Profile and choose the Notifications tab, or open the menu under your name at the foot of the sidebar and choose Notifications. The old Weekly Digest page goes to the same place.
Where we reach you
- Email goes to your contact email, or your sign-in address if you have not set one. You change the contact email on Profile.
- Texts go to the mobile number you enter on this page. Include the country code. Clearing the number turns every text off. Texts are a Pro feature, and need text messaging switched on for the workspace. Reply STOP to any of them to stop them.
What you can switch
Each row is something that happened to a booking assigned to you. Tick Email, Text, both or neither, then Save.
| Row | When it is sent | Email starts | Text starts |
|---|---|---|---|
| New booking | A booking comes in, including a paid one once payment settles | On | Off |
| Needs your approval | A booking is held until you approve it. The email carries the approve and decline links | On | Off |
| Cancelled | The booking is cancelled | On | Off |
| Rescheduled | The booking moves to a new time, or the client accepts a time you proposed | On | Off |
| Requirement submitted or hold ended | A client submitted something for you to check, or a held booking ran out of time | On | No text |
| Payment problem | A dispute, a failed refund or a failed fee | Always sent | No text |
If you turned on texts before October 2026, your new, cancelled and rescheduled texts are on.
Who made the change
You are told whoever cancelled or moved your booking: the client, a teammate in the dashboard, the API (including Zapier and AI assistants connected with an API key) or an automation rule. The email says who it was. Times are shown in your own timezone. A booking by the night or the day says its dates before and after the change, not a time.
A change you make yourself in the dashboard is never texted to you, and a cancellation you make there is not emailed to you. A booking you move yourself still sends you the usual email copy.
On a collective event, each co-host gets their own copy of a new booking, a cancellation or a move, on their own choices, and never about a change they made themselves.
Team bookings (admins)
Admins have one more column, Team bookings. Tick it on a row to get an email copy of that event for bookings assigned to other people. It starts off. A team copy says whose booking it is. You get one email even if you are also the host, and none for a change you made yourself.
Admins can see each member's settings on Team Members, but cannot change them.
Weekly summary
One email a week: last week's bookings and what is coming up. It is sent at about 13:00 UTC on the day you choose, and skipped in a week with nothing to report. It starts off; tick it and Save summary. Preview this week shows the counts it would send: new, cancelled and no-show bookings from the last seven days, and how many are coming up.
Slack
Slack posts are set on Developer → Slack. The Notifications page shows whether it is connected and links there.
